It is You

The day before yesterday, when I got home, when my daughter Camila heard the sound of my keys at the door, she waited close to the door and when I opened it, she shouted with all her strength with joy and said, "You scared me papitoh"... When I my soul returned to my body, I said, "You scared me to death, my love."

Yesterday, I got home really quiet. I made as little noise as possible with the keys and the door. I walked slowly and heard noises in the kitchen... I wondered, "Is that Yokasta or the dishwasher?"... I walked slowly, just in case Camilla was with her in the kitchen and then I quietly enter the kitchen... Then, it was my wife Yokasta who nearly died when she saw me... and with her, I almost died, but of laughter. All this to say that then I heard Camilla on the second floor and said to her, "Hooolaaa!"... to what Camilla said: "It is You". It wasn't a question... It was a statement: "It is You".

If God talks to you, could you say "It is You"? Would you know His voice? Would you know that who speaks to you is your heavenly "papitoh"?

9 Then he came there to a cave and lodged there; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” 10 He said, “ I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.” 11 So He said, “ Go forth and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake a fire, but theLord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing. 13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

God spoke to Elijah and Elijah did not recognize him. God invited him to "go forth and stand on the mountain before the Lord." Three events occurred:
     1. A great and strong wind.
     2. An earthquake.
     3. A fire.

Even though "the Lord was passing by", "the Lord was not"... Finally, he feels the "sound of a gentle blowing" and there, Elijah knew that God spoke...

God can "pass by" causing and/or allowing all kinds of events in our lives, but we have realize that there won't be words from God to us in all of those events... it might even be, that God already spoke "inside the cave"... before the events... and the events are just a result of our lack of faith. God leads us to know that He is a God that burns altars but also whispers our names.

God was in the "sound of a gentle blowing" but if Elijah hadn't known the voice of God, he couldn't had discern when and where God spoke to him.

Stop putting words into the mouth of God, actions in the hands of God and judgments in the mind of God, so that we don't sin putting feelings in God's heart.

It is time for us to know His voice and be able to, with our mouth filled with laughter, our heart filled with love, mindfulness and body submitted the cross of Christ, say to God: "It is You"...

JUST SAYING!!!

God bless you,
