Dorothy: Going Back Home

It has been an intense and interesting series and of much benefit to me... We finished talking about the protagonist of the story: Dorothy. At her arriving into the presence of the "Wizard of Oz", Dorothy expressed her wish: "I want to go home"... The solution... silly and hopeless... "A hot air balloon"... One idea that seemed to fit the need of Dorothy, but it didn't fit the reality of Dorothy, and not until Dorothy hits her heals saying a phrase, that she wakes up and realizes it was all a dream.

Dorothy longed to return home, so "The Wizard of Oz" appeared to meet her need, but he didn't appealed to her reality. How could a balloon take her back home? How could a balloon break fantasy and go back to reality?

It is the same technique our enemy uses with us. There is a longing in our hearts to go home... But our desire is supplied according to reality. So again and again, our enemy inflates promising balloons to take us home, when in fact these balloons can't get us out of our reality to get us to where we want to be. We will float in bad habits, relationships, occupations, pleasures, but won't ever get out of our reality. If we don't stop blowing balloons... we WILL end with no air.

In our hearts there is a longing and a deep desire, but not of this world... therefore, the solution is not in this world... our solution is spiritual. The yearning, the desire for justice, the pursuit of perfection and peace... are realities outside of our reality, and trying to equal our reality with a reality that's only possible with spiritual intervention, only leads to frustration. If your car's empty tank light comes on, you can add water or oil, or alcohol... but that doesn't ensure that the car will react satisfactorily. Similarly, our soul has a light, but we've thrown in the tank hundreds of wrong things... rarely correct ones.

The way home is long, complicated, painful... even frustrating, but there's a way to walk it. I love this secular story because it shows separate components that works together in  accompanying the Christians in its walk:
- The Good Fairy and Bad Fairy: Is the representation of the two Spirit Realms that are literally fighting for our destiny.
- The Wizard of Oz: It's comparable to our enemy interventions. Situations that appear to be solutions, but only causes confusion.
- The Dog, Toto: It's comparable to the Holy Spirit of God. Leads, directs, defends.
- The Scarecrow: It is comparable to the believer's need to have a clear mind and focus it on God.
- The Tin Man: It expresses our need to have a heart in a constant process of purification.
- Dorothy: It's you and me... Not only Christians, but each of us life walkers.

There is a very strong fight between two kingdoms for your eternal destiny and the bad one, uses a lot of "Wizard of Oz", "Golden Roads" and "Emerald Cities" to confuse you. So you must ask for direction to the Holy Spirit and pay attention his guidance to keep your mind clear and focused, so you can start the process of purifying your heart. And by God, never forget the "Ruby Slippers"...

Why so much trouble with the "Ruby Slippers"? Why the Good Fairy gives Dorothy these shoes before she starts walking? Why Bad Fairy wants to take them? Because the shoes are the way that makes possible to Go Back Home... Hitting the heels and repeating: "There is no Place Like Home" and then Dorothy returns.

The "Ruby Slippers" are the most important of all... because they are Jesus Christ and His blood... Not only the most important, they are the way...

4 You know the way to where I am going.”
5 Thomas said, “Lord, we don’t even know where you are going! How can we know the way?”
6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life!” Jesus answered. “Without me, no one can go to the Father. 7 If you had known me, you would have known the Father. But from now on, you do know him, and you have seen him.”
8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father. That is all we need.”
9 Jesus replied: Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don’t you know who I am? If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. How can you ask me to show you the Father?

Going Back Home is only possible through the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. The way is not a set of situations. The way is a person. The arrival is not a destination but a journey to develop a relationship with Him... with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jesus is not A way, or PART of the way... Jesus is THE way. Jesus is not A truth, or PART of the truth... Jesus is THE truth... Jesus is not A way of life, and practical ADVICE on how to live... Jesus is THE life... "No one goes home"... sorry... "No one goes to the Father except through Him"

Want to go home today? Wear the blood of Christ and begin your journey TODAY... never forget that there are two kingdoms fighting for your destiny. There will be many magicians doing silly things to still your attention. More than one way will look like gold and promising home, so you must keep your mind focused on your Creator and your heart to be purified. Ask for the leading of the Holy Spirit of God. Let him lead you. Finally, never forget your shoes... Paul called them the sandals of the gospel of peace... remembering the gospel  while sharing it with others, will keep your life on track...

Hit your heals today... Shake the Gospel in your life... Accept it, live it and share it... each time you do, you'll wake up to new parts of the reality and one day you'll wake up fully to your heavenly home because after all ... "There is no place like home."

JUST SAYING!!!

Dios te bendiga,
